About Us
We are active performing singers specializing in early music. Because we step onto the stage ourselves, we deeply understand the performer's perspective—the high stakes of performance day, the vulnerability of an audition tape, and the precision required to capture your ensemble’s unique sound. We bring that exact empathy, nuance, and care to every recording session.

Sam Denler
Co-founder, Managing Director, Audio/Video Engineer
Sam Denler brings a great deal of experience to Quarter Comma Media as both an active classical artist and a skilled audio/video engineer. Holding a Master’s degree in Early Music and Oratorio Voice from Yale University—where he performed as part of the prestigious Voxtet ensemble—as well as a Bachelor’s degree from Westminster Choir College, Sam regularly collaborates with premier ensembles across the country, including TENET, Res Facta, and Byrdsong.
His ongoing work on the concert stage gives him a deep, intuitive understanding of the artistic process, performance dynamics, and nuanced acoustics required for classical and early music groups. On the technical side, Sam balances artistic insight with engineer-level precision. He leads Quarter Comma Media’s audio and video design, drawing on specialized training through Yale and the VOCES8 Foundation to capture authentic, vibrant, and immersive media for choral ensembles and institutions. From managing complex multi-cam setups to generating media for organizations like the Yale Institute of Sacred Music, Sam ensures every project sounds and looks as vibrant as it feels in the hall.
When he isn’t buried in his editing program or on stage, Sam can usually be found building custom gaming PCs or 3D-printing a "Bachtopus"—combining his love for tech and early music in the most literal way possible.

Pifa
Chief Feline Officer (CFO)
Pifa Ribattuta di Gola Barwinski-Denler is Quarter Comma Media’s official Chief Morale Officer and resident Studio Assistant. Though she lacks formal music degrees, Pifa has an expert ear for acoustics—specifically the sound of treats being opened—and regularly audits audio mixes from the comfort of Sam and Eliana’s laps.
Her key technical contributions include rigorous camera bag inspection, warm-up supervision, and ensuring performance attire remain thoroughly covered in fur. When she isn’t overseeing video edits or monitoring rehearsal playback, Pifa can usually be found sunbathing in a beam of light, chasing a tiny toy fly, or searching for said toy under the couch.
